Is it permissible to participate in the elections, or join the parliment?

The following is a brief summary, and exposition to the kufr and shirk of voting, or joining the parliment. By request, we would be glad to further elaborate, and provide more authentic proof.

Question:
Is it permissible to participate in the elections, or join the parliment?

Answer:
It is kufr and shirk,

Firstly,
the one who does not rule by Sharee'ah law, is a kaffir
“And whoever does not judge by what Allaah has revealed, then they are the disbelievers.” [Surah Al-Maa’idah: 44]

Secondly,
the legislation is ONLY for Allah (SWT)

6:57 Say: "For me, I (work) on a clear sign from my Lord, but ye reject Him. What ye would see hastened, is not in my power. The command rests with none but Allah. He declares the truth, and He is the best of judges."

12:40 "If not Him, ye worship nothing but names which ye have named,- ye and your fathers,- for which Allah hath sent down no authority: the command is for none but Allah. He hath commanded that ye worship none but Him: that is the right religion, but most men understand not...

42:10 Whatever it be wherein ye differ, the decision thereof is with Allah. such is Allah my Lord: In Him I trust, and to Him I turn.

“Is it the Hukm of Jahiliyyah that they seek?”

“But no, by your Lord, they can have no Faith, until they make you (O Muhammad) judge in all disputes between them, and find in themselves no resistance against your decisions, and accept (them) with full submission.”

“And whoever does not judge by what Allaah has revealed, then they are the disbelievers.” [Surah Al-Maa’idah: 44]

4:60 Hast thou not seen those who pretend that they believe in that which is revealed unto thee and that which was revealed before thee, how they would go for judgment (in their disputes) to false deities when they have been ordered to abjure them? Satan would mislead them far astray.

Thirdly,
Obeying legislation is Ibaadah (Worship)

"They (Jews and Christians) took their rabbis and their monks to be their lords besides Allah

'Adiyy bin Haatim (RA), who was a Christian but came to Islam, he heard the Prophet (SAW) recite this ayah, so 'Adiyy (RA) said: 'We did not worship them besides Allah'. The Prophet (SAW) replied: 'Did they not make forbidden what Allah had made permissible, and made permissible what Allah had made forbidden?' 'Adiyy (RA) replied: 'Ofcourse'. So he (SAW) said: 'So that was
your worshipping of them'. (Found in Imam Ahmad's Musnad and the Jaami' of at-Tirmithi, and he declared it hasan.)

Brother, this is one of the most needed articles to come out in a long time (aside from the treatise by al-Suri). What the ummat does not need now is one more moderate Muslim. They stand by and allow shirk elections, participating in them and then rejoicing when a Muslim brother (Ellison) compromises his deen (and ours) by actually accepting a role in the Congress of the very enemy, which has thrust itself up the whole of Islam, its people and its ideology. It’s one thing to learn how to participate in jihad, which many of our young are learning to do (alhumdulillah) but it’s as serious a matter to learn how to recognize shirk when we see it. And how to forbid shirk when we see it. Are we not “commanded” to forbid the bad and command the good? Yes, indeed we are! Daw’ah is wasted on our own brothers (and sisters) when it could be spent on the unbeliever. We should not need to train our own how to defend our own. But, if we must: we must! You give good dajeel on this matter, brother. For “silencing those who sugar-coat the deen,” I applaud you. I pray that Allah (swt) continue to guide you as you strive to serve the ummat and defend our “sugar-coated” deen.
